On August 31, 2026, Miss Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York, presented financial contribution to Mr. Eric Tagliacozzo, Director of the Southeast Asia Program (SEAP), Cornell University as a symbol of friendship. This contribution aims to support Thai language/Thai study at the Southeast Asia Program. On this occasion. Consul General expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Southeast Asia Program at Cornell University for its ongoing efforts and looks forward to its continued initiatives to promoting Thai language and Thai study.
On the same evening, Consul General met with Thai students studying at Cornell University. During the event, Consul General warmly greeted the students, inquired about their well-being, and offered guidance on university life. She also commended the younger generation for their competence and dedication, expressing confidence that they will apply the knowledge and experience gained during their studies to contribute to the benefit and development of Thailand upon graduation.
