On 30 October 2025, the Royal Thai Consulate General in New York convened the first Meeting of Team Thailand in New York for Fiscal Year 2026, held at the Consul General’s Residence. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Dr. Suriya Jindawong, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, and attended by Ms. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York and Head of Team Thailand, along with officials of the Consulate and representatives from Thai agencies in New York, including Thai Trade Center, Thailand Board of Investment, Tourism Authority of Thailand, and the Bank of Thailand Representative Office.

The meeting discussed and exchanged information on recent U.S. developments and policy measures and their implications for Thailand, as well as Thailand’s approaches to its engagement with the United States. The meeting also reviewed plans and collaborative efforts among Team Thailand agencies in New York for Fiscal Year 2026, aiming to drive their activities in alignment with the Thai Government’s policies and its current priorities.
