Attending Khon Performance of the Ramakien at the Chour Thai Reformed Church of
New York to Promote Thai Cultural Heritage

On Saturday, 13 June 2026, Mr. Khanthong Nuanual, Deputy Consul General, representing the Consul General of Thailand in New York together with Ms.Thammajit Thitimontre, Consul, attended a performance of Khon (Thailand's classical masked dance drama) based on the Ramakien at the Chour Thai Reformed Church of New York.
The event was jointly organized by the Chour Thai Reformed Church of New York and the
Nara Thai Dance group, Thai cultural performance group in New York, as a fundraising initiative to support renovations of the church, enabling it to continue serving as a center for the Thai community in the area. The event also aimed to preserve and promote Thailand's rich cultural and artistic heritage through the traditional performance of Khon.  Prior to the performance, the church invited all attendees to observe 47 seconds of silence in mourning and in remembrance of the gracious benevolence of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati, Kromluangrajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita.
