The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Penang organised a Buddhist Chanting Ceremony, including offering Sangha Dana and lunch to Buddhist monks on the occasion to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of His Majesty King Ananda Mahidol, Rama VIII on 20 September 2025, at Wat Chayamangkalaram. Phra Khru Vineythorn Seeprom, Chief Abbot of Wat Chayamangkalaram, presided over the ceremony for the monks, and H.E. Mr. Psusist Wongsurawat, Consul-General of Thailand in Penang, presided for the seculars and led the officials, staffs, family members of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Penang and Thai communities in Penang to take part in the ceremony.
