Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chicago participated in the Royal Kathina Ceremony at Wat Promwachirayan, Saint Louis Park, Minnesota

On October 27, 2024, Mrs. Natnapang Damrongsoontornchai, Deputy Consul-General, and spouse, along with the Thai community and Friends of Thailand in Minnesota and nearby area, participated in the Royal Kathina Ceremony at Wat Promwachirayan, Saint Louis Park, Minnesota.

The Royal Kathina Ceremony was presided over by Phra Bhavanawachirawidesa V., the Head Monk of Wat Nawamintararachutis, Boston, Massachusetts, and Dr. Tatpicha Nunta was the main contributor. During the event, the Deputy Consul-General joined the Thai community in the Royal Kathina procession by making merits, offering alms, and donating robes to the monks. On the same occasion, Dr. Nanta also donated funds to support the Thai Arts and Culture School of Minnesota.
