During 28-30 August 2023, Mr. Threethep Nopakhun, Minister Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima and delegation made a business trip to Chiclayo, Lambayeque Province, as part of a project to promote economic cooperation between Thailand and Andean countries. The delegation met with Mr. Jorge Luis Perez Flores, Governor of Lambayeque, representatives from the regional government and non-governmental entities, such as the Head of International Trade and Tourism, General Manager of the Lambayeque Port Terminal (LPT) project and President of the Chamber of Commerce of Lambayeque. The delegation also visited key infrastructure projects such as the LPT project and the Olmos project for the development of irrigation systems and hydroelectric power. Both sides also exchanged information about trade and investment opportunities in Thailand and Peru.
