On 20 October 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Lisbon participated in Kathina Ceremony, organized by Sri Lankan community in Portugal, at Sumedharama Monastery in Ericeira. Ms. Supapan Tiapiriyakij, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i, the Embassy’s officials and staff together with the Thai community in Portugal made merits by giving alms, offering food and Kathina robe to the monks as well as listening to Dhamma talk by Ajahn Vajiro, the Abbot of Sumedharam Monastery. More than 200 devotees took part in the Ceremony.
