On March 14-15, 2024, the Royal Thai Consulate General's team, led by Consul General Somjai Taphaopong, along with Consul Athikom Daengpun and Consul Katesuda Thongna, successfully conducted the second mobile consular service of the year in Columbus, Ohio. The team provided services for 80 requests, ranging from Thai passport applications and legalization services of signature authentication for Thai nationals to consular advice for the Thai community in Columbus and surrounding areas, including Dayton, Cincinnati, and Cleveland. During this event, Ambassador Tanee Sangrat, who was on an official trip to Ohio, also made a special visit to the mobile consular operation.

Ambassador Tanee and Consul General Somjai have also taken this opportunity of their visit to Ohio to participate in activities for meeting and exchanging views with members of the Thai community living there, including representatives from Bellisio Foods, Inc., a food manufacturing company in partnership with C.P. Food Products, Inc., as well as Thai language students and instructors from Ohio University. Both the Ambassador and the Consul General emphasized the commitment of the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C., and the Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York to strengthen the Thai community and to promote the role of Thai associations/groups at the national level in the United States more significantly.

The Consulate General extends its heartfelt thanks to the Thai community for the ongoing engagement and interest in our events. Please stay tuned for updates on our upcoming mobile consular activities to be announced through the Consulate General's PR channels.
