The Royal Thai Consulate-General Organizes a Volunteer Activity at New York Dhammaram Temple's Kathina Ceremony

On October 20, 2024, Miss Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York, together with Dr. Ketsuree Vijaranakorn, Senior Director of the Thai Trade Center, and Mr. Nanthapol Sudbanthad, Director of the Thailand Board of Investment, New York Office, and the Royal Thai Consulate-General's officials, set up a beverage distribution station for attendees at the Kathina Ceremony held at New York Dhammaram Temple. This initiative was part of a volunteer activity by Team Thailand in New York to provide public services in honor of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great Memorial Day (October 13, 2024) and His Majesty King Chulalongkorn The Great Memorial Day (October 23, 2024).

On this occasion, Consul General Somjai and Team Thailand officials also participated in the alms-giving ceremony and the Kathina ceremony throughout the day, along with other attending Thai and international Buddhists.
