On 3 July 2023, H.E. Ms. Vimolbajra Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, received a courtesy and introductory call by H.E. Mr. Dinh Nho Hung on the occasion of his assumption of position as Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Norway.
On this occasion, Ambassador Vimolbajra conveyed her congratulations on the occasion that Ambassador Dinh Nho Hung had presented to His Majesty King Harald V of Norway the Letters of Credence, accrediting him as Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Norway. Ambassador Dinh Nho Hung expressed his condolences on the passing of Ambassador Vimolbajra’s mother and appreciated today’s meeting which took place during a difficult grieving time for Ambassador Vimolbajra.
Both Ambassadors exchanged views of common interests and on cooperation within the ASEAN Committee in Oslo (ACO) framework, particularly cooperation on renewable energy which Ambassador Dinh Nho Hung informed that Vietnam has good cooperation with Norway. They agreed to further exchange information on the good collaboration between Thailand-Norway and Vietnam-Norway on renewable energy. Ambassador Din Nho Hung informed that Vietnam has a good cooperation with Norway on oil and gas and renewable energy.
Before assuming his current position, Ambassador Dinh Nho Hung previously served as Deputy Director General, Department of Policy Planning, and concurrently Deputy Director, Institute for Strategic Studies of the Diplomatic Academy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam. From 2017 to 2020, he served as Deputy Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the United Nations in New York, at the time when Vietnam was an elected member of the United Nation Security Council.
