Ambassador of Thailand to Norway paid a visit to Brevik to pay respect to the monument of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn and inspect the completion of the renovation project of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn’s Monument

On 20 July 2023, H.E. Ms. Vimolbajra Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, Ms. Potchamas Saengthien, Counsellor, and Embassy’s officials paid a visit to Brevik to pay respect to the monument of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn and inspect the completion of the renovation project of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn’s Monument, which started on 25 May 2023.

The completion of the renovation project is a very auspicious occasion which will be celebrated on Saturday, 22 July 2023 at the commemoration ceremony of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn’s monument as well as the Thai Festival in Brevik 2023 supported by the Thai Embassy. Please join us in this joyful event in Brevik.

The Embassy highly appreciates the cooperation from the Norwegian local authorities concerned in Porsgrunn and the Thai community in Porsgrunn, who have played important roles in the joint efforts of the renovation of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn’s monument in Brevik. The Embassy places a high importance to the conservation and maintenance of the monument for the future generation as a tribute to His Majesty King Chulalongkorn’s great efforts in laying the solid foundation of the bilateral relations between Thailand and Norway.
