On 26 August 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy invited representatives from the Thai associations and Clubs as well as Thai community located in Oslo and nearby cities to an Open House of the Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo, a traditional annual event for Thai community in Norway to meet with the Ambassador of Thailand to Norway and officials of the Embassy in order to exchange views and establish networking between Thai community.
H.E. Ms. Vimolbajra Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, took this opportunity to inform the Thai community and to recap the important work that the Embassy has done in the previous year and the future work plans relating both to further enhancing the close bilateral relations between Thailand and Norway as well as in promoting the well-being of Thai community in Norway, especially Thai community empowerment. Ambassador Vimolbajra also presented financial support to the Thai associations and Clubs in Norway to express the Embassy’s appreciation and support for the good work they have done to support the Embassy’s efforts in empowering Thai community.
There were 16 associations and clubs attended today’s event, including the Thai Women’s Association in Norway, Thai Music and Dance Club in Norway, Thai-Norway Language and Cultural Association, Thailand NIE Learning Centre in Østfold, Thai Buddhist Association in Norway, Thai Language and Cultural Centre, Wat Thai Norway, Thai Language and Cultural Association in Grenland, Suthammo Thai language and Cultural Centre in Drammen, Watpah Bodhi Dhamm Buddhistforening in Drammen, Thai Student in Norway group, Thai Association in Hedmark, Wat Thai Gardermoen Buddhistforening, Prakas Puththadhum Forening (Wat Santinivas Norway), Buddhist Thaikultur Larvik (Watpah Bodhi Dhamm Larvik), Thai Massage Association in Norway, Thai Massage and Spa Association in Norway.
