On 12 April 2024, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul, and the Royal Thai Embassy’s Consular Officers had a working with Mr. Lee Jaehyung, Director of Visa and Residence, and Mr. Kim Eunho, Deputy Director of Visa and Residence, Korean Immigration Service, at Wang Thai Restaurant. Both sides discussed on the Memorandum of Understanding on a seasonal work programme (SWP) and other relevant issues.

Chargé d’Affaires a.i. also took the opportunity to visit the Thai chefs who are working at Wang Thai Restaurant. Wang Thai Restaurant, located in Itaewon, Republic of Korea, is one of the Thai restaurants that received the "Thai SELECT" symbol from the Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Thailand. The key dishes include Tom Yam Gung (Thai Spicy Shrimp Soup) and Puu Pad Phong Kharee (stir-fried crab in spicy curry sauce).
