On 5 March 2025, Mr. Suwat Kaewsook, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Czech Republic, presided over the ceremony to receive the “the Buddha Sirindhorn Thepparatmongkolbhuwadolsanti”, granted by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of the Kingdom of Thailand. The ceremony was attended by officials and spouses from the Royal Thai Embassy in Prague.

The Buddha Sirindhorn Thepparatmongkolbhuwadolsanti will be enshrined in the hall of the Embassy.

The name “Buddha Sirindhorn Thepparatmongkolbhuwadolsanti” means the Buddha is the gem of the gods, bringing auspiciousness and peace to the land. The Buddha statue was given to provinces and hospitals nationwide, as well as to all Thai embassies and Thai missions abroad with intention to bring peace and happiness to all Thai nationals around the world.
