Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs received Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal of the United Kingdom during Her Official Visit to Thailand

On 16 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, participated in the meeting between H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand, and Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal of the United Kingdom on the occasion of Her Royal Highness’s official visit to Thailand during 15–18 July 2026. 

The two sides exchanged views on Thailand–United Kingdom relations, youth development, and the promotion of women's participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal underscored that the successful promotion of women in these fields requires the support of both families and educators. The Prime Minister, in turn, emphasised that education, critical thinking, and analytical skills constitute the essential foundation for effective problem-solving and national development.

The two sides also shared the view that strengthening healthcare systems, advancing research, and enhancing international cooperation are essential to effectively addressing public health challenges. The Prime Minister commended the United Kingdom's strengths in medicine and scientific research and expressed confidence that the two countries would further deepen their cooperation in these areas in the future.

The visit underscored the longstanding and close relations between Thailand and the United Kingdom, and provided an important opportunity to further enhance bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
