On 11 May 2026, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Hari Prabowo, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Thailand, on the occasion of his courtesy call upon his assumption of duty.

Both sides expressed their satisfaction on the close and cordial ties between Thailand and Indonesia, especially after the elevation of relations to a Strategic Partnership during the Official Visit of President Prabowo Subianto to Thailand in 2025. They also exchanged views on enhancing cooperation between Thailand and Indonesia in key areas, such as trade and investment, tourism, public health, and education. Both sides agreed to continue working closely together within the ASEAN and other multilateral frameworks.
