On 11 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, and Thai community leaders held discussions with Mr. Hwy-Chang Moon, President of Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (CUFS), and his delegation on educational cooperation and ways to promote educational opportunities for Thai nationals in the ROK.

Both sides exchanged information on opportunities and benefits available to Thai nationals interested in pursuing degree programs through CUFS’s online learning system. CUFS offers a wide range of fields of study, including Korean language, English language, business administration, and K-Beauty. The Royal Thai Embassy and CUFS are currently discussing potential areas of cooperation to help Thai nationals access quality education, including tuition fee discounts of up to 50 percent per semester.

Currently, approximately 70 Thai nationals are enrolled in various programs at CUFS, reflecting the growing interest among Thais in developing their skills and knowledge through the ROK’s online education system. The Royal Thai Embassy will continue to follow up on and promote this cooperation to expand educational opportunities for Thai nationals, support their skills development and enhance their prospects for future employment and career development.
