On 13 September 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, together with Mrs. Sirirat Srichart, Labor Attaché, Miss Winittri Ponpaha, Assistant Labor Attaché, and Mr. Krist Mekkriengkrai, Head of the Consular Section, led the consular team and labour affairs team to provide consular services and consultation services on labour-related matters at Lotte City Hotel Jeju.

Ambassador Tanee met with over 110 Thai individuals receiving consular services and discussed with Father Thomas Aquinas, Director of the Catholic Jeju Parish Iju Samok, to establish a network for protecting Thai nationals in distress.The Ambassador also met with Thai community leaders at Donsuni Restaurant and had discussions on their well-being and encouraged them to build a strong Thai community in Jeju, including the establishment of the Thai Community Association in Jeju, as well as advised them to exercise caution and avoid accidents at work.
