Ambassador Tanee welcomes students of National Defence Course for Future Leaders during a study visit in the ROK

On 13 May 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, welcomed Lt.Gen. Thaksin Sirisingha, Director of the National Defence College of Thailand (NDC) and the 2nd batch of students of National Defence Course for Future Leaders. Ambassador Tanee emphasized the Embassy’s commitment to strengthen Thailand-ROK relations as a strategic partnership through various projects such as organizing Ignite Thailand-Korea Business Forum in April 2025 which received a good response from the Korean business community.

The Royal Thai Embassy shared overviews of Thailand-ROK relations and the Embassy’s role in enhancing bilateral relations. Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Minister/DCM shared additional information on the ROK’s Government roles in dealing with uncertainty over US trade policy and proposed ways to stimulate economic cooperation between Thailand and the ROK, which is likely to have greater potential after the conclusion of negotiations for the Thailand-ROK Economic Partnership Agreement within this year. Col. Itt Thippayachan, Defence and Army Attaché also attended in the briefing.
