On 28 August 2025, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys, together with Ms. Pittara Navarat, Minister Counsellor, and Mr. Natouch Thammanuruk, Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm, welcomed Dr. Siriluk Prukpitikul, Deputy Executive Director of the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), along with senior executives from various agencies participating in the Executive Program in Space Technology and Geo-Informatics, Class 12 (GISTDA Ex-12), on the occasion of their study visit to Sweden.

The Ambassador warmly welcomed the delegation and gave a briefing on the overall Thailand-Sweden cooperation, as well as the Embassy’s mission to promote collaboration with Sweden in the fields of innovation and sustainability through its key initiatives. These include the Scaleup Impact! Project, aimed at strengthening the capacity of Thai startups, and the seminar “Jump-Start Wood City: From Local Empowerment to Global Partnerships”, which promotes sustainable forest management practices in Thailand. In addition, the Ambassador reaffirmed the Embassy’s readiness to support collaborative projects between GISTDA and the Swedish Space Corporation (SSC), which has expressed interest in developing human resources and startups in Thailand’s space industry.
