On 11 December 2025, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys had a meeting with Mr. Daniel Wolvén, Director-General of the Asia-Pacific and Latin America Department, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden, to seek Sweden’s support for the Global Partnership against Cyber Scams which Thailand will be hosting the Conference on this topic in Bangkok on 17–18 December 2025. the Ambassador also briefed the latest situation along the Thai–Cambodian border which Thailand was attacked first. Thailand had to use force strictly for self defence and to protect territorial integrity and sovereignty of Thailand and safety of Thai people. This action was conducted in accordance with International Humanitarian Law and UN Charter. They also discussed ways to further promote cooperation between Thailand and Sweden following the elevation of bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership in August this year, including plans to convene the Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) meeting next year. In addition, both sides exchanged views on key regional issues, including the situation in Myanmar.
