On 6 October 2025, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys presided over the opening ceremony of the Asian Film Festival 2025: Eyes on Thailand. Since 2020, this festival has been dedicated to showcasing outstanding, popular, or internationally-awarded films that reflect the culture or filmmaking capabilities of countries across the Asian continent, for audience in Sweden. The event has been well received in the past by students, film enthusiasts, and the general public in Stockholm and other cities across Sweden.

This year, the organizers have chosen Thailand as the country of focus of the festival, with a total of four films: The Red Envelope, Arunkaarn (Regretfully at Dawn, Flat Girls, and Operation Undead. This festival presents an excellent opportunity and a suitable platform to showcase Thailand's film production achievements to local and foreign audiences in Sweden.

During the festival's opening, the Royal Thai Embassy has organised a reception for members of the diplomatic corps and key Swedish figures before the screening of the opening film, "The Red Envelope"

Ambassador Arunrung welcomed and conversed with invited guests and also took the opportunity to promote Thailand's potential within the global film industry.
