On 27 May 2026, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), had discussions with H.E. Ms. Lucy Njeri Kiruthu, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Thailand on the occasion of her assumption of duty.

Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between Thailand and Kenya, by enhancing development cooperation in the areas of mutual interest. They also discussed an extension of the Project on the Establishment of the Thailand - Kenya Agricultural Technology Learning Center at the Kenya School of Agriculture (KSA) as a pilot project under the framework of the Thailand - Africa Development Forum (TADF), in support of Thailand's relaunching of the Thailand - Africa Initiative (TAI) in 2025. They also explored possible activities to commemorate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2027.
