On 17 July 2023, Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Director-General of American and South Pacific Affairs, met with H.E. Ms. Ana Maria Prieto Abad, Ambassador of Colombia to Thailand, to discuss the preparations for the 4th Thailand - Colombia Bilateral Consultations to be hosted by Thailand.

Both sides also exchanged updated information and views on bilateral cooperation in the areas of technical cooperation, alternative development, consular affairs, as well as prevention and countermeasures of transnational organized crime (e.g., narcotic control), among others.
