On 13 - 14 January 2026, the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) jointly organized a Workshop on “Thailand’s Official Development Assistance” at The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok. Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of TICA, and Mr. Guillaume Delalande, Advisor, Development Finance and Engagement, Development Cooperation Directorate (DCD), OECD, co-delivered opening remarks. Participants included more than 90 representatives from 30 relevant Thai agencies.

This workshop was part of the Thailand - OECD Country Programme (Phase 2), building upon the “TICA - OECD Training Course on Development Finance Statistics,” aimed at building the capacity of Thai officials in reporting Official Development Assistance data with accuracy and transparency, in accordance with international standards.

Participants exchanged experiences and engaged in breakout sessions to conduct hands-on exercises on the collection of development cooperation data in accordance with OECD standards. The workshop enhanced the accuracy, credibility, and international standard compliance of Thailand’s Official Development Assistance database, while also demonstrating Thailand’s proactive commitment to playing an active role as an emerging development cooperation partner on the global stage in advancing sustainable development.
