Director-General of Department of International Organizations chairs the 2nd Meeting of 2025 of the National Committee under the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Mechanism of the Human Rights Council

On 26 November 2025, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, chaired the second meeting of 2025 of the National Committee on the Implementation of Recommendations under the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Mechanism of the Human Rights Council (HRC). The meeting was attended by representatives from relevant agencies and human rights experts that are members or advisors of the National Committee.

The Committee was informed of Thailand’s role as a member of the Human Rights Council (HRC) for the term 2025 - 2027 and discussed Thailand’s cooperation with special procedures and mandate holders of the HRC, implementation under the framework of international human rights instruments to which Thailand is a party, and preparation for Thailand’s 4th Cycle of the UPR national report, which is scheduled to be submitted in July 2026.
