On 4 November 2022, H.E. Mr. Robert F. Godec, U.S. Ambassador to Thailand paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand. The Deputy Prime Minister and Miniser of Foreign Affairs congratulated the U.S. Ambassador on his assumption of duty, while the U.S. Ambassador reiterated his commitment to further enhancing the Thailand – U.S. relations and the strong alliance between the two countries.

Both sides discussed promoting cooperation in multi-faceted areas, based on shared values and mutual benefits, both at the bilateral and regional, such as cooperation on climate change as well as cooperation under APEC, particularly the preparation of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week, which Thailand will be hosting later this month. On this occasion, both sides also exchanged views on current regional developments and the importance of cooperation under ASEAN framework.
