On 11 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, signed the book of condolences on the passing of H.E. Mr. Xaysomphone Phomvihane, President of the National Assembly of the Lao PDR, at the Embassy of the Lao PDR in Bangkok. He was received by H.E. Mr. Sisavath Inphachanh, Ambassador of the Lao PDR to Thailand.
