Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs participates in the 19th Dubrovnik Forum 2026 in Dubrovnik, Croatia

On 26 - 27 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, participated in the 19th Dubrovnik Forum 2026 under the theme “The Age of Multipolarity: Many Directions, One Future,“ in Dubrovnik, Republic of Croatia.

The Vice Foreign Minister took part in the Panel Session “Asia-Pacific in Motion: New Powers, Old Rivalries” to emphasise the role of the Asia-Pacific as the world’s new economic and strategic centre. Amid a multipolar world order, this opportunity would entail new risks and challenges, as well as opportunities to cooperate with various countries and represent Thailand’s role as a middle power and bridge builder between the Asia-Pacific and Europe by emphasising the importance of multilateral cooperation at both regional and international levels to promote security. He underscored the significance of reaching an agreement on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Thailand and the European Union (EU). He also garnered further support for Thailand’s OECD accession.

This Forum serves as an important platform for Thailand to strengthen relations with Croatia and other European countries. It also provides an opportunity to follow up on the latest developments in Europe and the region’s views on key global issues. The Dubrovnik Forum is an annual policy forum held regularly in Dubrovnik, Republic of Croatia, with the objective of promoting constructive discussions on important issues on both regional and global scale, among leaders from the governments, private sector, and experts from various regions worldwide. The year 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the forum.
