On 18 June 2025, H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, visited the Asia Pacific Research Center at Ankara University and held discussions with Mr. Merthan Dundar, Director of the Center, along with international relations scholars. Both sides explored ways to strengthen cooperation between Thailand and Türkiye, particularly in the fields of education and culture, and to promote a better understanding of Thailand and the Asia-Pacific region in Türkiye. Also, both sides exchanged views on regional issues, such as the situations in Ukraine, the Middle East, and the South China Sea.

The Asia Pacific Research Center conducts scientific research on the Asia-Pacific region, to provide consultancy support to public and private organizations operating in this region and to contribute to the training of necessary experts. The Center has published more than 45 academic publications on the Asia-Pacific region including Thailand.
