18 April 2008, Mr. Noppadon Pattama, Minister of Foreign Affairs, hosted luncheon in honour of Mr. Jiang Xiaoyu, Executive Vice President of Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG), and the Olympic Flame delegation from Beijing, at the Foreign Ministry, on the occasion of their arrival in Thailand as one of their destinations for the global torch relay.
