On 27 July 2012, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, co-organized an Introductory Event for Mr. Monthian Buntan, Senator and former President of the Thailand Association of the Blind, as Thailand’s candidate for election to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities for the term 2013 – 2016 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
