Mr. Pisanu Suvanajata, Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar, handed over 3 sets of computers and a photocopier to U Win Naing, Director-General of International Organizations and Economic Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, in support of increasing workload at a crucial juncture of Myanmar.  After the new Government came into power and with increasing contact with foreign countries, Myanmar is faced with more daunting tasks of national reforms and development.
Ambassador Pisanu also discussed with DG Win Naing about the planned activities to commemorate the 65th Anniversary of Thailand-Myanmar Diplomatic Relations in 2013, the upcoming Joint Commission Meeting, how to expedite the border demarcation, the technical cooperation framework, and the plan to facilitate a large number of Thai community members for the SEA Games in late 2013 and the ASEAN meetings in 2014 when Myanmar will hold the Chairmanship.
DG Win Naing expressed the gratitude of Myanmar side for the warm and close cooperation continuously extended by the Thai side in all areas.
The provision of the above equipment is under the Thailand-Myanmar technical cooperation framework. The frank and cordial discussion between the Ambassador and the DG reflects the ever closer ties between the two countries which serve as the basis for further strengthened relations.
