On 14 April 2013, Royal Thai Consulate – General in Chengdu organized Songkran Festival, participated by Team Thailand offices based in Chengdu, Thai students and Thai nationals as well as local Chinese living in Sichuan Province and Chongqing City.

     The activities consisted of praying to the Buddha, making merit, cleaning Buddha, and blessing ceremony. On this occasion, the Royal Thai Consulate - General in Chengdu presented vegetarian lunch to the monks and hosted vegetarian lunch for participants in the activities.
