On 19 April 2013, Mr. Chakri Srichawana, Thai Consul-General, attended the inauguration ceremony of “Southeast Asia Festival  2013” organized by Southeast Asia Research Centre (SEARC), College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences-CLASS) of City University (CityU) under the support of ASEAN Consulate-Generals in Hong Kong. The Festival held during 19-21 April 2013 is aimed to provide knowledge/information and promote better understanding on ASEAN members among local and foreign students as well as their parents and teachers. The activities comprised of (1) Informative exhibition on ASEAN members (2) Cultural Performances from ASEAN members’ communities in Hong Kong. (3) Culinary Delicacies (4) Cinema Series. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Consul-Generals and representatives from Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Brunei, together with Mr. Way Gao, President and University Distinguished Professor of CityU, and Mr. Martin Painter, acting Dean of College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences-CLASS of CityU.
