On 6 April 2013, Mr. Medha Promthep, Thai Ambassador to Argentina, led the team of official and local staffs from the Royal Thai Embassy, as well as Thai community in Argentina, to join the ASEAN badminton competition hosted by Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina, at badminton court in Buenos Aires City.

     The Thai Ambassador together with Thai officials, local staffs, and Thai community participated in the ASEAN badminton tournament to strengthen the ties between other ASEAN embassies and communities in Argentina namely Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, which was hosted by the Vietnamese Embassy.  The event is one of the activities that ASEAN embassies in Argentina take turn to organize all through the year with an aim to strengthen the relations, build the friendship, and establish the harmony among the ASEAN embassies and its communities which will finally lead to an establishment of one ASEAN Community.
