On 3 May 2013, Consul General Jesda Katavetin gave a remarks at the inaugural dinner of Thai American Bar Association or TABA. He stressed the need for a more proactive role of new generations of Thai Americans in different professions and pledged the Royal Thai Consulate General's continued support to the work of TABA.

     TABA is a newly formed association to unify Thai American lawyers all over the United States. Its main objective is to serve the Thai community by utilizing a pool of its legal knowledge and professional networks. The inaugural dinner was very well attended by hundreds of people both within and outside the legal professions.
