The Residence of the Thai Ambassador to the UAE turned into a temporary religious site as the Thai community in Abu Dhabi organized an activity to observe the Visakha Bucha Day in the evening of Friday 24 May 2013.

A senior monk from the Dubai Meditation Centre was invited by the Thai community to lead prayers, preach Buddha’s lessons and biography to 60 Thais and their foreign relatives, before leading everyone on a circular walk around Buddha statue, which is tradition for a holy Buddhist day.

The Ambassador’s Residence helped prepare the venue as well as food and refreshments for the participants. In addition, Ambassador Warawudh Chuwiruch, his wife, staffs of the Royal Thai Embassy as well as their family were present throughout the evening.
