     On Saturday 1 June 2013, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Hong Kong, together with Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Ministry of Culture of Thailand, organized “Thailand-Hong Kong Unity in Harmony Concert” performed by the Thai “Ruamsmai Big Band”, the youth orchestra from Thailand the String Orchestra of Hong Kong Music Academy of Performing Arts, at HKAPA Concert Hall, The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, Hong Kong SAR. The Concert aims to promote cultural exchange on music performance as well as friendship among youth between Thailand and Hong Kong. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Chakri Srichawana, Consul-General, together with Mr. Khemchat Thepchai, Director-General of Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Ministry of Culture of Thailand gave their welcoming remarks to distinguished guests. Ms. Pansy Ho, CEO of Shun Tak Holdings Limited, Foreign Consul-Generals designated to Hong Kong, representatives from Hong Kong government and business sector, Team Thailand in Hong Kong, presented various well-known classical and modern international, Chinese and Thai songs as well as songs composed by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand.
