The Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo organized the media familiarization trip to Thailand on 10-14 June 2013 under the theme “Queen Sirikit’s Roles in the Promotion of Local Arts and Crafts through the Eyes of Sri Lankan Media” in order to promote the works of Her Majesty the Queen Sirikit.

H.E. Mr. Poldej Worachat, Thai Ambassador to Sri Lanka, led 4 Sri Lankan media: Ms. Maryse Odille Dilanthy Jayamanne of the Island, Mr.Sugath Rabel of Lankadeepa, Mr. Chaminda Niroshan Dhammika Premaratna Palawela Yamange of Ada and Mr. Brian Kerkoven of Vogue Magazine, to visit the places related to Her Majesty’s role in handicraft and arts promotion such as Bangsai Arts and Craft Centre, the SUPPORT Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand ,Ban Bang Sadet Court Dolls Centre, Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, Queen’s Gallery and Arts of the Kingdom Exhibition at Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall.
