     The Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm, in cooperation with Tallink Silja Line organized “Thailand Festival 2013 – Thai Nights at Sea” for the second consecutive year on M/S Victoria on the route Stockholm – Tallinn – Stockholm. The main purpose of the Festival was to promote Thai culture, tourism, trade and investment in Thailand. During the opening ceremony, H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden gave an opening remark welcoming all guests and wishing them a great and memorable experience of “Thailand on the Baltic sea”.
     The Festival featured exhibitions from the public and private sectors including Thai rice of high quality by the Department of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce, Thai Airways International, Board of Investment Thailand, Office of Trade Promotion, Tourism Authority of Thailand and several Thai companies in Sweden. The main parts of the Thai Festival were the Thai food at the Food Court and Thai cultural performances throughout the night by Sbun Nga Cultural Group from Chiang Mai and Thai communities in Sweden which were highly appreciated by the guests. In addition, one of the highlights of the event was the lucky draw where 2 winners per night won flight tickets from Stockholm – Bangkok-Stockholm sponsored by Thai Airways International, plus hotel package from Tourism Authority of Thailand. 
     Thailand Festival 2013 – Thai Night at Sea was a successful event with great response from both Swedish and Estonian guests. In total, there were approximately 4,000 attendances.
