On 28 June 2013, the Ambassador hosted a reception for Admiral Surasak Rounroengrom, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, on the occasion of visiting the Office of the Navy Attaché, Royal Thai Embassy, Moscow, from 26 June – 3 July 2013. Pursuant to the discussion with the former Minister of Defense (Air Chief Marshall Sukumpol Suwanatat) during his visit in April this year, which Admiral Surasak Rounroengrom was a member of the delegation, the Ambassador exchanged views with the Commander-in-Chief on the way forward to enhance military cooperation between the Royal Thai Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

The Office of the Navy Attaché, Royal Thai Embassy, Moscow, was set up in September 2012 to to further strengthen the ties between the navy of both countries.
