Mr. Paijit Srenwarakan, President of the Thailand-Viet Nam Parliamentary Friendship Group together with parliamentary delegation of 17 people paid an official visit to Vietnam upon the invitation of the Viet Nam-Thailand Parliamentary Friendship Group during 9-12 August 2013.

During the visit, Mr. Paijit Srenwarakan paid a courtesy call to H.E. Mr. Nguyen Sinh Hung, President of the National Assembly of Vietnam and held an official consultation with H.E. Mrs. Nguyen Thin Nuong, President of the Vietnam-Thailand Parliamentary Friendship Group to strengthen the relations between the two countries and parliaments after the bilateral relations between Vietnam and Thai land had been elevated to the level of “Strategic Partnership” during the official visit to Thailand of H.E. Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam in June this year.

During the visit, Mr. Paijit Srenwarakan laid a wreath at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and had visited Lam Dong Province and Ho Chi Minh City. H.E. Mr. Anuson Chinvanno, Ambassador of Thailand also hosted a luncheon in honour of the delegation.
