Royal Thai Consulate-General, Guangzhou, Organizes Mobile Consular Services in Hainan Province

During 1-4 August 2013, The Royal Thai Consulate-General, Guangzhou dispatched a team to provide consular services to the Thai community in Hainan Province. The team also had an opportunity to meet with high-level officers from the Provincial Public Security Bureau and Foreign & Overseas Chinese Affairs Office to forge closer cooperation in providing services and assistance to the Thais residing in Hainan also to coordinate with the latter in updating evacuation plan for emergency incidents.
Approximately 300 Thais are currently staying in Hainan Province. The team traveled to the cities of Haikou, Wenchang, Sanya and Lingsui Li Autonomous County. The mission was successful in facilitating the Thais in passport renewal and other consular services. The team also updated participants on relevant rules and regulations of the Kingdom as well as those of China deemed useful to the Thai overseas.
