On 24 September 2013, the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima organised a Thai cooking demonstration at the Ambassador’s residence with Mrs. RattanaSuwankam, chef of the Ambassador’s residence as the instructor. The Thai dishes presented for the demonstrations were Kai Look Kei, Green Curry with shrimps, Thai Curry with chicken and fried mixed vegetable in Thai style.All menus were prepared easily with the ingredients from Thailand that is available at supermarkets and Asian food products stores in Lima.
Mobile exhibitions about Thailand as well as some Thai food productshad been displayed while information brochures about Thailand and Thai cooking recipe bookswere distributed to all guests. The participants of the event, including students and professors of universities and cooking schools, chefs from leading hotels in Lima and entrepreneurs of food industriesaround 40 persons showed great response to the activity and enjoyed the authentic Thai food.
