On 20 September 2013, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Dubai, in collaboration with the Thai Ladies' Club in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, hosted the Thai Community Bowling Tournament as a part of the Thai community's initiative to promote health awareness.  The event was attended by approximately 50-60 people from the Thai community in Dubai and the nearby Emirates who turned up to show their support.  While the prizes went to the expert bowlers with the score of over 300 points each, the event also saw a few junior bowlers who showed off their skills during the tournament.
