On September 2013 from 10.30 am. to 2.00pm., the Royal Thai Embassy by Mrs. Jiraporn Jitpatima, wife of H.E. Mr. Marut Jitpatima, organised a Charity Thai Cooking Demonstration with Inner Wheel Club in Singapore at the Ambassador’s Residence. It was attended by 75 members of the Inner Wheel Club and partial fund raised at the event will be donated to Care Corner Orphanage in Chiangmai, Thailand.
Mrs. Jiraporn expressed her warm welcome to the guests and said that Thai cuisine became well known worldwide from 1960s onwards and it ranks among the top three food that people would think of. She mentioned that Thai cooking is easy and it has its own unique taste. And as September 21 is the UN World Peace Day, she encouraged everyone to help making the world a better place for our children to live in.
Guests enjoyed the demonstration of Gui Chai Dumpling, Papaya Salad, Chicken Green Curry and Tub Tim Krob and also enjoyed a wide variety of food at the lunch buffet prepared by the Ambassdor's Residence.
