At 13:00 hrs. Mr.Tharit Pengdit, Director-General, the Department of Special Investigations, briefed the press on the outcome of the meeting of the Center For Maintaining Peace and Order (CMPO) earlier in the day, gist as follows:

1. The CMPO will organize a meeting with the Permanent-Secretaries and heads of all government agencies in order to discuss the security arrangements for the agencies concerned. The meeting will take place on 27 February, 14.00 hrs. at CMPO headquarters.

2. The CMPO wished to express its concern on the violence that followed the ruling of the Civil Court. The security agencies have revealed that an unidentified armed force has infiltrated the protesters. As a result, the CMPO wished to request the public not to join the demonstration. The CMPO has also deployed more police officers but faced difficulty as the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) security guards did not allow officers to enter the protest sites.

3. The ruling of the Civil Court has prevented officials from performing their substantive duties under the law, and resulted in the PDRC once again trespassing on and besieging 11 government agencies and private sector companies. However, the CMPO has successfully restored the functions of 7 government agencies.

4. The CMPO has received a report from the Metropolitan Police and Provincial Police regional commands regarding the legal proceedings against the election obstructions. So far, there are 188 cases involving election obstructions, 172 cases involving the failure of electoral officers to perform their duties. 133 persons already faced arrest warrants.

5. Following the legal action related to the 2010 demonstration against Mr.Abhisit Vejjajiva and Mr.Suthep Thaugsuban, the Attorney-General has instructed the DSI to seek them out to be legally charged as soon as possible.
