On 5 April 2014, Mr. VijavatIsarabhakdi, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States of America, met the Thai communities and visited Wat Thai of Los Angeles during his visit to Los Angeles to participate in the 11^thThai New Year Songkran Festival.

     On 9 April 2014, Mr. VijavatIsarabhakdi, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States of America, hosted a luncheon for the Cherry Blossom Princesses from various states across the United States and territories as well as representatives from several countries including Japan, France, Lithuania, Slovenia and Thailand. Among the 80 participants also included Ms. Dee Dee Fusco, Vice President of the National Conference of the State Societies (NCSS) and Ms. Janet Bouchard, International Coordinator of the Cherry Blossom Princess Programme. On this occasion, the Royal Thai Embassy also presented an ambience of the traditional “Songkran” Thai New Year celebration with demonstration of “Water Blessing Ceremony” and beautiful background of traditionalSongkran music.This experience has brought much appreciation and wonderful impression on Thailand and Thai cultures among all the Cherry Blossom Princess as well.
