On 12 April 2012, Mrs. Suphatra Srimaitreephithak, Consul-General participated in ASEAN Community Golf 2014 at King Course, Dragon Lake, Guangzhou. The event was organized by the Consulates of ASEAN countries in Guangzhou and participated by 29 players from 6 countries (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Laos, and Thailand). Those players are representatives from ASEAN Consulates and various communities.

Thai team members are (1) Consul-General (2) Mr. Santi Sawangcharoen, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, Guangzhou Office (3) Mr. Songsak Paturiyavet, Vice President of CP Lotus Supermarket Guangzhou Co., Ltd. (4) Mr. Yoontee Jaruluxcana, China Region Manager, Siam Cement Thai Company, and (5) Mr. Hans Jakob Roth, Ambassador attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland.

     As friendly score-counting approach was used to determine winners, there were many winners in several categories. 

     This ASEAN golf event resulted in strengthened cordial relationship among ASEAN countries’ community members.
